There’s three types of Gemini Suns: Geminis who have Mercury in Taurus, Geminis who have Mercury in Cancer, and Geminis who have Mercury in Gemini. Furthermore, Geminis with Gemini Mercury have Mercuries that are either in the morning phase, the evening phase, or combust.

Sometimes, you hear people talking about how different May Geminis are from June Cancers. Not all May Geminis have Taurus Mercury and not all June Geminis have Cancer Mercury! However, because Mercury is never more than 28º from the Sun, it is more likely for a May Gemini to be a Taurus Mercury and for a June Gemini to be a Cancer Mercury.

Gemini with Taurus Mercury: Brick Wall

How Taurus Mercury will show up will depend a lot on the Venus placement since Taurus Mercury is ruled by Venus but one thing that I’ve noticed about Geminis with Taurus Mercuries is that they often feel like they have to struggle against something that feels as immovable as a brick wall.

Often, Gemini with Taurus Mercury feels really misunderstood. When growing up, it was as if their families were talking to them through something, like money or food, rather than through words. This teaches Gemini with Taurus Mercury to communicate through giving or taking rather than through dialogue.

Because of this, Gemini with Taurus Mercury also often feels as though they cannot change anyone’s mind. Gemini is a flexible sign. Because Gemini with Taurus Mercury learns that it is impossible to change others, they become changeable in response. Gemini with Taurus Mercury is always arguing against something but sometimes without the firmness that their words seem to carry. They might argue high and low for something but then change their minds the next second. It’s less about making a point and more about reenacting moments when they felt uncomprehended.

Gemini with Gemini Mercury: Caught by choice

There’s three subsets of Geminis with Gemini Mercury: there’s Geminis who have Mercury as morning star, Geminis who have Mercury as evening star, and Geminis who have Mercury combust.

When Gemini Mercury is combust, this can lead someone to do one thing while talking loudly about how they prefer to be doing the opposite. It is hard to tell which option they would rather choose because they, themselves, do not know.

The reason why Gemini Mercury does this is not because they want to be dishonest but rather because they were sometimes forced into choices as a way to manipulate their behavior. Choice was used as a method of control. This makes them obsess over the right choice or the wrong choice but the point is not to make a choice that someone else is forcing you to choose. It’s about walking away altogether and making your own choices.

Geminis with Gemini Mercury in the morning star phase will usually take it upon themselves to make the right choice and blame themselves for the wrong choice. For Geminis with Gemini Mercury in the evening star phase, they might react very emotionally to what they see as other people making the wrong choices because of the fear of losing control of themselves.

Gemini with Cancer Mercury: Whisperer

Geminis with Cancer Mercuries have a lot of experience arguing against people who matter to them emotionally. They have experience arguing in terms of “I feel”s rather than “I think”s.

For Gemini with Cancer Mercury, the fear of misunderstanding centers their emotional reactions. They’re afraid that someone will believe them to be more artificial than authentic. They’re especially afraid of changing their minds about things because they’re afraid that the friends who supported them while they were moving in one direction will stop doing so when they start to move in another. When they make changes, they’re scared of being told that they’re flighty.

Geminis with Cancer Mercuries are also the Geminis who know all the secrets. Not all Geminis do. Taurus Mercury Geminis tend to be too straightforward and Gemini Mercury Geminis don’t always know how to build enough trust to make someone spill out their hearts. Cancer Mercury Geminis are the ones who have enough intimate conversations that they know more than they let on.

But Cancer Mercury Geminis don’t always spill the secrets that they know. They truly care about people and, in truly caring, they will only tell a secret if they feel that doing so will help the person whose secret it is out in some way. Cancer Mercury Geminis are not great at boundaries sometimes but they will never do anything that shows a lack of care for someone.
