My stellium in Capricorn is intense! I have Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Neptune, and Uranus in Capricorn, from 15 to 22 degrees. I was wondering about the degrees and if this means anything, but also whether you can say anything about what it means to have them all in the 6th house? Thanks!
–Capricorn Stallion
Wow what a loaded sixth house! And in Capricorn!
When I work with people with stelliums, it takes us a long time to parse through all of the feelings, memories, and experiences that are ruled over by one sign or house. We look at things very slowly. We feel into a sign, a time when these planets were impacted by a transit, and we usually find that there is congruence as well as paradox within the stellium.
Capricorn isn’t an easy sign, particularly if you were born at night as I know you were. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, ruled by the Devil in Tears.
Having a packed sixth house is not easy. This is the house of labor which the ascendant does not witness.
The Devil in Tears rules over your house of labor.
Why do you think that a crying Devil rules over your house of labor, Capricorn Stallion? How do you feel when you feel labor enter the conversation between us? This is as far I can go without you. If you were my client, I’d ask you this and go with you in the direction of the answer that you give.
I can speak to working with other people with sixth house emphasis a bit and very abstractly. This is a serious house—the house of labor, service, devotion, and illness. Having a strong sixth house is sometimes doing all of the femme labor in a house. It’s sometimes being wrecked with urgency about what seems like just, simply, won’t be done unless you do it yourself. It’s the impossibility of slowness. The sixth house is a house that moves very quickly.
It’s learning things very quickly. It’s having to adapt, to learn quickly because this is what survival needed from you. It’s having to have worked for as long as you could possibly remember. It’s being a practical genius. It’s knowing where all of your belongings are. It’s having the power and the strength to do the work of seven people and, yet, having to do the work of seven people.
I understand that you, also, have Mars in Capricorn. There is so much that you’re capable of doing, isn’t there?
You say that all of your Capricorn placements are within 15-22º. This is a chart that shows the term or bound rules of each degree of each sign.
What do you notice?
That’s right—there is ease in your Capricorn planets, Capricorn Stallion. They are bounded by Venus and Venus happens to be right there in the same mix in its own terms. Your Venus works according to its very own terms. No one gets to tell it what to do.
You have such a powerful Venus. It gives you grace. It gives you knowledge of beauty. You know what to throw away and you know how to keep things clean. You know respect and you command it from yourself.
So, here are your stellium planets: the Sun, which is your chart ruler. Mercury which is peregrine. Mars, which exalts and rejoices. Venus, which is on its own terms and keeps all of your planets together. Uranus and Neptune, generational, yearn here too and sometimes they will feel more present than other times.
How do all of these planets live together? It’s a full house with so many different characters and personalities. Your Mars is so ambitious and capable and your Mercury is just awkward enough in its genius. Your Sun is sentenced into patience. Your Venus knows itself.
But that’s just me waxing poetic about your chart. Ignore me. Disregard everything I’m saying if it doesn’t feel right. Your feeling sense of your chart is something that only you can find yourself. I come, through this writing, as a companion who can’t talk to you. How do your planets live together in that crowded house of labor? Stelliums make a thing so meaningful that they feel like a prism.
